Juzo is committed to environmental protection through targeted measures: increasing energy efficiency, conserving resources and preserving nature. To ensure structured and transparent environmental protection within the company, Juzo has committed to the EMAS environmental management system.
Climate protection
Product longevity and durability
Robust materials, meticulous workmanship and forward-thinking product concepts – Juzo products stand for lasting quality. Our washable MAKs are a reusable alternative to conventional short-stretch bandages, which usually have to be disposed of after only a short period of use. MAKs can reduce material usage and prevent waste – for effective comfort and reliability with foresight.
Resource-saving dyeing processes
In its in-house dyeing facility, Juzo relies on environmentally friendly processes. Through heat recovery and the reuse of dye baths, resources are utilised as efficiently as possible. The EMAS-validated environmental management system, regular wastewater testing and defined quality requirements support reliable and safe product quality – for people and nature.
Sophisticated building technology
At Juzo, sustainability is also a question of technology: our buildings have been converted to energy-efficient LED lighting and are powered entirely by externally sourced green electricity. This not only enables us to save energy, but also sets an example of responsible business practices.
Solar energy for tomorrow
The photovoltaic systems at our two Aichach sites are a further step towards energy supply from renewable sources. They contribute to our own electricity generation and will further reduce our carbon footprint.
Responsible mobility
When it comes to our employees’ mobility, we focus on sustainable solutions. We are continuously increasing the use of electric vehicles. Juzo supports the decision to opt for an electric company car by reimbursing the costs associated with a private wallbox. All employees can use electric charging points in the staff car parks at reduced rates. Those who prefer to get around on two wheels can take advantage of the attractive Jobrad bike leasing scheme or take part in the “Cycle to Work” campaign – for the environment, their own health and a good cause. We also encourage carpooling, which can be easily organised via the intranet. In this way, we combine climate protection with team spirit and a modern working environment.
Juzo Environmental Projects
The area around Juzo’s production buildings is a colourful and diverse haven of flora. Extensive greening and wild flowering meadows create valuable habitats for insects and promote biodiversity. These natural areas not only contribute to the ecological balance but can also improve the local microclimate. Through litter-picking campaigns, the Juzo workforce is sending a further signal of active environmental responsibility and green commitment: employees collect litter around the company premises and beyond, thereby actively contributing to cleanliness and the protection of the local environment.
Circular economy
Reuse instead of waste – driven by our high standards of quality, we aim to use materials efficiently and avoid or reduce waste. Wherever possible, Juzo focuses on recycling and upcycling: for example, plastic yarn spools are recycled by specialist companies. Knitted samples are turned into pouches for measuring tools or compression accessories for specialist retailers.
Bags and promotional items are generally produced in Europe and consist mainly of recycled or upcycled materials, such as old awnings or PET bottles. In this way, something new is created from existing materials – with the aim of conserving resources.

Juzo is committed to structured and transparent environmental management in accordance with high standards. Successful EMAS validation and recertification to ISO 14001:2015 confirm our commitment to continuous improvement and responsible action. Environmental aspects are systematically recorded, assessed and integrated into business processes. This ensures that environmental targets are not only set but also achieved in a measurable way.
