10th Bochum Lymphology Day

Lymphology and Oncology

30.01.2021 - Bochum

This symposium will be held as a hybrid event and therefore digital formats will also be available. You can therefore attend the event as an attendee in person or as an online participant (livestream and/or media library).

Dear colleagues and friends of lymphology,

We are proud to announce our “10th Bochum Lymphology Day”.

Science and medicine are two constantly changing fields of work – freely adapted from the saying by Heraclitus “πάντα ῥεῖ” (everything is flowing). When dealing with patients, we are all expected to be up-todate with the latest in medicine. This is reflected by ten years of Bochum Lymphology Days.

Oncology, in particular, has developed a lot over recent years. Treatment options for tumours have become more varied, individual and successful. In order to intensify this positive development, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research announced the “National Decade against Cancer” in 2019. However, this is still contrasted with the treatment-related development of secondary lymphoedema.

This year’s Lymphology Day will focus on the genesis and treatment of lymphoedema from different oncological perspectives. Top-class speakers will look at aspects from oncological radiology, gynaecology, urology, and orthopaedics, etc. and their influence on oedema development and treatment. The Lymphology Day will be a practical in-service training experience for you as it covers oedema diagnosis as well as different treatment options.

With this series of in-service training days, we would like to promote networking between all those who are involved in treatment, and to reach out to doctors interested in lymphology as well as therapists and specialist medical retail staff.

Join me in looking forward to an informative day!

Sincerely yours,
Prof. Dr. med. Markus Stücker
