Multidisciplinary Management of Lymphoedema and Lipoedema
17.07.2021 - London, England
This symposium will be held as an online event. You can therefore attend the event as an online participant (livestream and/or media library).
Dear Colleague,
The impact of the coronavirus pandemic on our professional, social and private lives is omnipresent. It does not shy away from in-service training courses either, which is why our Lymphoedema Symposium, planned for May 2020, needed to be postponed to 2021. We at first decided to postpone the date and now we have agreed to hold this Symposium as an online event.
We have planned an interdisciplinary and interprofessional knowledge exchange on lymphological issues for you. As part of our Symposium we will focus on causes of primary and secondary lymphoedema. We will cover the topics of diagnostic and imaging as well as optimal therapy and management of lymphoedema. In the course of the event best practice and cases will be discussed.
As part of the online-symposium, each participant can follow the lectures, ask questions online and also have the opportunity to re-watch the lectures in the media library after the event has taken place.
You can expect top-class speakers and practical demonstrations with a focus on medicine, therapy and ideal treatments. There will also be plenty of time for individual questions.
Let us use this platform to openly exchange ideas and update standards.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Kristiana Gordon

Learning outcomes and objectives:
Our aim is to build bridges on several different levels: between scientific evidence and experience, between health care providers from different disciplines and between people from different countries.
The lectures will have the most up to date information available and the attendees will see, hear and learn about diagnosis and professional lymphoedema treatment, hints and tips.
The attendees will gain practical skills that they can put into action the next clinic day by seeing, hearing and doing. In the breaks there are practical demonstrations that they can watch – giving further skills and knowledge in a more informal setting.
By listening to and engaging with the views of our fellow professionals, we will be able to understand one another better, work together more harmoniously and offer our patients better care.
